The 9th Day of School

Dylan said we had science where we wrote in our science journals.
Garret said we had indoor recess today because it was too hot to go outside.
Bryce said we did math.
Emilio said we are going to get reading buddies tomorrow.
Taylor said we got a worksheet on balancing and weighing.
Anusha said we played a fun new math game and we played hangmouse.

The Last Day of Magnets

Taylor said today is the last day that we are going to experience magnets. Also today was fun.
Garret said we tried to lift a paper clip off the ground without letting the paperclip touch the magnet.
Mahiya said we got to tie the string to the paper clip. It was awesome today, we did math!
Mya said we got new jobs yesterday and did them today.
Sarah said we had fun.
Maci said we played missing math, a game during math and we did a word sort with long and short vowels.
 Ashlynn said we had a great day and we had a bus evacuation drill.
Anusha said we had a lot of fun.

Sarah said we did math!
Madison said today was Flashlight Friday!
Garett said we used flashlights to read our books.
Mya said she found out she's going to love second grade!
Phillip said we had to learn our new classroom rules:

1. Be safe
2. Listen and Participate
3. Be respectful

Anusha said we played a math game.
James said we didn't do science. We started an art lesson.
Dylan said we learned about lines and different patterns in art.
Taylor said on Monday we are going to do a line activity.
Henry said we had our first computer lab day today.
Addisyn said we had fun!
Maci said we played Tens Go Fish.
Ashlynn said we had a great day!

The Fifth Day of School....

James said we had science.
Alex said we used magnets for science.
Garett said we found out how many paper clips magnets could pick up.
Taylor said we got to do a game with math and we are bringing flashlights for S.S.R. on Fridays now!
Griffyn said we had fun!
Price said we had S.S.R.
Anusha said we did fun math!
Phillip said we got to stick paperclips to magnets.
Mya said we had fun all day long!
Emilio said we didn't have to miss lunch recess today!
Ashlynn said we messed with magnets.

Magnet Day...

Garett said in science we investigated whether magnets stuck to stuff.
Krishna said we started our classroom rules.
Taylor said for math we got to play a game.
Anusha said we had a really good day!
Alex said we couldn't go outside for our first recess because it was too hot!
Dylan said we had fun!
Griffyn said today was awesome!
Sarah said we had math and we learned about joining.
Bayden said we had indoor recess.
James said Mrs. Pittman read us How I Spent My Summer Vacation and gave us ideas on what to write about how we spent our summer break.

The third day...

Alex said we had a great day!!
Phillip said we got to do math and science.
Price said we read a book called In the Forest.
Garett said we learned about the 5 senses.
Anusha said we used our science notebooks and wrote about the 5 senses.
Garrick said school is good!
Griffyn said we had fun!
Mahiya said it was awesome today!
Mya said we went to Opening and sang a song called "Humpty Dump"
Maci said we sang "Let's Go Investigate".
Dylan said we did science and we had fun.
Taylor said we got to do a sheet about our senses.

Things we learned on the second day of second grade...

Krishna said we wrote our hopes and dreams.
Maci said we played a game on our math paper.
Anusha said we had S.S.R.
Bayden said he learned more about animals during S.S.R.
Price said we had science.
Addisyn said we learned about sums.
Phillip said we got new journals.
Mahiya said we wrote about what we wanted to learn in second grade today.
Garett said we made a math problem book.
Alex said we did math.
Mya said we got a new science journal today.
Henry said we had fun doing it ALL!

Our First Day of Second Grade...

Alex said we used cubes in math.
Phillip said we made a number book.
Mya said we did math.
Mahiya said she feels like she's gotten smarter and we did math!
Bayden said we made a book.
Dylan said we got to play a new game called Octopus.
Taylor said we got to decorate our Thursday folders.
Price said we had morning meeting and we read Gooseberry Park.
Emilio said we had snack.
Ashlynn said we made new friends.
Garett said we had fun!
Maci said we made a book called Book of Ten.
Mrs. Beers said we were all really nice to eachother today!
Mrs. Pittman said she's so excited for a new year of fun!
